We love Paris. We were sad to leave. It was with tears in our eyes we boarded the plane back to the U.S.

Montmartre is one of the best neighborhoods in Paris. Home to all the bohemian painters throughout time (think: Picasso, Money, Matisse) you really can’t go to Paris and not visit Montmartre. The views of Paris from the top of the hill are absolutely stunning and you will really feel that you’ve stepped back in time as you walk the streets. We stopped in for some wine at a bar in Montmartre and had a great night!

Paris is well known for their Christmas markets and while we were there right before the holidays we were able to stroll through the famous market on Champs-Élysées Boulevard. Everything at the market was overpriced but it was beautiful to walk among the lights, sipping on hot chocolate and enjoying Paris at it’s finest.

Oh Paris – my favorite city in the world. This time we decided to hit up the famous flea markets and we weren’t disappointed – although things were a bit too expensive for us we did find a few good buys. This stall isn’t in the flea market but right outside as you walk in.

The beach in Nice, France is truly beautiful and relaxing. We had never seen bluer waters on our travels and we only wished we were there in the summer instead of November so we could go for a swim!

Our hotel in Marrakech had the most beautiful lobby I have ever seen with about 10 chandeliers among the tiled ceiling. It was truly gorgeous.

Sausage hanging from a Christmas market stall in Paris looked pretty gross to me but I had to take a photo of it anyway… Yick…

On our first day in Marrakech I noticed there were a ton of birds at our hotel. I was happily surprised when we were eating one day and a waiter came out and actually gave the birds bread instead of shooing them away – which would be more typical at a tourist destination. This little guy hung out for a while munching on bread and seeds.

The Swiss Alps were unbelievably amazing! If you ever get the chance make sure you go see them! Switzerland can be expensive but if you buy your food in the grocery stores you will pay normal prices and have just as good a time. We hiked through the Alps one day and it was one of our best travel memories to date!

We were lucky enough to take a cruise on the Bosphorous River during our stay in Istanbul and even though it was quite cold we really enjoyed it. When traveling it’s always nice to get a different perspective on the place you’re visiting and taking to the water is a perfect way to do that.
